Warren Beatty was born Henry Warren Beaty in Richmond Virginia on March 30th, 1937. His mother Kathlyn was a drama teacher and his sister is actress Shirley MacLaine.
Mr. Beatty went to high school in Arlington, Va. He also attended Northwestern University. His first screen role was in a tv sitcom "The many loves of Doby Gillis". He then went on broadway and received a tony nomination for "A loss of roses".
His first major film role was in "Splendor in the grass" (1961). He went on to star in such films as "Mickey One (1965.)
